Career History

Throughout my career I've had the privilege of leading teams in a variety of Companies whose products helped to improve people's lives.

They have ranged in size and stage from Seed Funded Garage Startups through to Publicly Traded Companies

Overview

I've been privileged and fortunate to have a career that has allowed me to do meaningful work in a variety of companies with some talented and spectacular people.

That work has spanned publicly traded companies like AthenaHealth and Evolv, garage startups that grew into public companies like Epocrates and growing midsize companies owned by Private Equity investors like PatientPoint and Outcome Health.

The common thread through all of these experiences has been the focus on a mission that matters. All companies have missions around which they are constructed. A smaller number can draw a direct line from that mission to helping improve lives and those are the organizations in which I've had the opportunity to spend more time. It's for that reason that much of my career has been focused in and around healthcare companies.

I believe that the role of a leader is to serve. The higher you go within an organization, the greater the responsibility that you have to serve others. Leadership is about empowering and supporting others to do their best work.
